Hi.
Are you an introvert who has too much to do and not enough downtime?
I know how it feels.
Your to-do list is a never ending source of stress.
You work hard but at the end of the day it feels like you’ve accomplished nothing.
Your evenings are filled with task after task with no time left over for relaxing.
But I also know life really doesn’t have to be like that.
I’ve been there
I used to work hard and feel like I had little to show for it. My to-do list was never ending. I wondered if maybe I wasn’t fast enough or smart enough or productive enough. I wasn’t sure I could make myself smarter or make myself think faster, so I did the only thing that made sense at the time. I researched productivity and time-management techniques.
Over the years I must have tried 30 different productivity and to-do list apps. I tried making lists on cork boards, post-it notes, and dry erase boards. I experimented with analog bullet journals, and developed mantras. I dabbled in the Pomodoro and GTD techniques. I made a vision board. I read books and countless articles about productivity.
But none of it worked.
One day I realized that…
something had to change.
I wasn’t living life, I was marking off tasks.
Finally I realized that I had been chasing the wrong thing. I had been chasing this concept of maximizing work time when instead I needed to focus on getting enough downtime. It seems like a simple concept now, looking at it written down like that. But it was a concept that eluded me for far too long.
I began to focus on downtime – what I define as a chunk of time deliberately used for recharging and reenergizing – and changed how I approach work and to-do lists.
I still don’t have the time to do everything that I want to do (like become an expert ukulele player), but I do have enough time to do what’s important to me and what’s best for my mental well being.
You can have a life with enough downtime.
You can be in control of your own life.
You don’t have to feel like things are out of control.
I had no concept of downtime. This course did an excellent job explaining what that was, why we need it and how to get it.

Who this class is for
This class isn’t for everyone.
This isn’t a quick-fix class, so it’s not for people who won’t or can’t put aside 20 minutes each weekday to read the emails and fill in the worksheets. People who just skim through the instructions and don’t work on the exercises will probably learn something, but won’t see the big changes they need in their life.
Instead, this class is for people who are ready to change. Who realize that change requires, well, changing. Change requires the commitment to do something new and retire something old.
This class is the synthesis of countless hours reading, learning, and practicing various productivity tips PLUS some big aha moments I’ve had during my own struggle with not getting enough downtime.
Getting enough downtime is extremely important for us introverts, so I’ve made this class a very affordable $35.
Course details
Who: Introverts who need more downtime
What: Four weeks of emailed prompts, tools, exercises, and knowledge
Where: Online, through daily (weekday) emails
When: Starts September 7th.
Cost: $35
And: You get access to a private Facebook group with others who are taking the course. I’m also available by email if you have any questions.

It’s possible that not every task or tip will apply to your situation, so you’ll also get a list of 15 optional extra tasks.
Class Summary
Each weekday you receive a new email. Sometimes these emails will contain productivity tips. Other times these emails ask you to look at a compulsion you might have, provide you with ideas on how to stop that compulsion, and prompt you to find your own solutions to break your unproductive cycle. And still other emails are about data collection – finding out exactly what in your life is getting in the way of downtime.
All emails will have a task for you to complete, and at the start of each week you’ll receive a worksheet to keep all of your answers in one place. Each weekday emails will probably take 20-30 minutes of your time.

and more feedback…
[The] most useful information was how much time has been spent on timeless, mindless tasks each day. With the newly “found” free time I am better able to spend it on activities that will help me re-charge each day. Especially after stressful days at work. -Paul B
