This is my second year of making predictions about the introvert community. Judging from my predictions last year I shouldn’t quit my day job and become a psychic, so I’ll keep this post short and vague…

I believe 2016 will continue the 2-year trend of seeing more tips about living as an introvert and fewer articles about what introversion is.

I think we’ll be seeing even more books about introversion, ones that are focused on specific subsections of introverts, like ones about specific Myers-Briggs personality types, or geared towards introverts in specific careers.

We’ll see the introvert brands that popped up in 2014 and 2015 like Introvert, Dear, Sheep Dressed Like Wolves, Quiet Rev, and Sacred Introvert Retreat Tours increasing the kinds of services they offer.

In the summer of 2016, when Jenn from Introvert, Dear and I will be delivering our petition to dictionaries stating that introversion isn’t the same as shy, you’ll start to see more articles about the difference between the two concepts.

In 2015 my prediction that there would be a large increase in articles about ambiversion didn’t come to pass, but I’m still expecting that the term ambiversion will be used even more in 2016.

As for Introvertology, I plan to start blogging once a week and putting out YouTube videos regularly. I’m also planning on creating more original content for social media, and I have a workshop and ebooklette in the works.

And that’s about it in terms of introversion! Outside of introversion, I expect the world to continue to turn in 2016, and that the aliens will not invade (yet). I hope 2016 turns out to be a prosperous year for you and the introvert community.
