A 4 week adventure to getting started with video

Sorry, this workshop has already started. Please send me and email through my contact form if you’d like to be informed the next time this program runs.

Does your fear of being seen online mean your potential customers can’t find you?

You’re an introvert, so naturally you don’t want to add to the “noise” of the internet. BUT – you’re also a business owner who has something to share with the world.

Like fire and ice, these two sides of you are in a battle. Right now, fear of being seen is winning. And it’s hurting your business.

You’ve heard the advice “just get over it and jump in,” but that advice isn’t really constructive. People who say that clearly don’t understand how you feel.

So you stick to the status quo of…
҉ letting your fear of putting yourself out there stop you from getting clients online
҉ silencing your own voice
҉ prioritizing your own fears and guilt of not trying harder, over helping others

You know you’re capable of so much more.

Instead…

What if you stopped being a well-kept secret, and started showing up where your potential customers are already hanging out?

Showing up with content – live video (yes, introverts can be great at Facebook Live) – that your future customers actually want and will pay attention to?

What if you started connecting authentically with potential clients, instead of being just another person who runs a Facebook page that no one visits?

What if today was the start of you KNOWING that you can choose bravery over fear of being seen, no matter what?

How it works

Each week we’ll have an hour-long call (it’s a video call, my friends). We discuss the assignment, I share some tips and tricks I’ve implemented over my 10 years of using social media for business, and then we do some on-the-spot coaching if anyone needs it. Then, we break for 15 minutes so you can do your assignment. We hop back on the call, and discuss.

Because this community workshop is all about practicing and growing, but in easy steps, you’ll be posting that week’s assignment 3 separate times over the course of the week.

We start off small with selfies.

First, you’ll be posting your selfie in our private Facebook group (no more than 5 other participants).

Then, you’ll be increasing your visibility a little. At some point that same week you’ll be posting the same selfies in the Facebook group Trailmaking Introverts (500 friendly and supportive fellow introverts).

Then, you’ll be posting on one your own public social media account (Facebook page, Instagram, etc).

Big changes to your confidence, but implemented in small, incremental steps so it feels less scary.

Our 60 minute calls take place each Monday for 4 weeks:
November 6th, 3pm EST (fyi – on the day before, clocks are being turned back an hour)
November 13th, 3pm EST
November 20th, 3pm EST
November 27th, 3pm EST

And, during our month together you’ll have a private community on Facebook for you and your cohort of 5 other introverts so you feel supported during this process.

What do people think about my previous group programs? Here’s Debra Bradley, who took my last group program, a mastermind:

The accountability of the mastermind framework led me to do things I might otherwise have avoided doing, including conducting client interviews, using new technology and recording a video for my target market.

I find Thea very easy to work with — she is genuinely interested in helping me to be successful, and she asks challenging questions that help me to overcome my mental obstacles.

Who is Camera-Shy to Facebook-Live for?

This class is for people who are ready to put their business above their fears of being seen. Who know they have something to share, even if they can think of 101 reasons why they shouldn’t.

All you need is a smartphone that is capable of downloading the Facebook app so that you can go Live on Facebook.

Who is this not for?

This community workshop isn’t for someone who can’t be supportive of other introverts who are working to stretch their comfort zone and build their business.

It’s also not for people who expect the fear to totally go away, or who aren’t ready to motivate themselves to face their fear and do their assignments (so that the magic can happen).

This workshop is all about making some big changes to your confidence, but implemented in small, incremental steps (so it feels less scary).

Camera-Shy to Facebook-Live is a 4-week online community workshop just for introverts. Starting in November, you’ll be with a small cohort of 5 other introverts like you, who are ready to conquer their visibility fears.

The workshop is designed to take no more than 2 hours of your time a week (one of these hours is our weekly live call) so it can easily be worked into your current schedule.

You, my fellow introvert, don’t have to go it alone.

I created Camera-Shy to Facebook-Live because, frankly, someone requested I make it. Ana was holding herself back from doing her first Facebook Live and wanted an affordable way to get support and accountability so she could finally conquer her fear of being seen. She also wanted to start using Facebook effectively – to show up so that her clients can find her and her business.

And I know Ana is not alone.

I’m on a personal mission to help my fellow introverts share their powerful and unique voice online… while they make money at the same time.

So of course, when Ana made the suggestion for this workshop, I said Yes!

I know what it’s like to be afraid of video because I’ve been there – my first two times creating videos were so stressful it was months until my third video. And I can’t even guess how many Facebook Lives I had done, terrified, with my voice shaking, until I finally said enough! and dedicated myself to getting comfortable with Facebook Lives. Comfortable enough that I can show you the shortcut – the solution – to being introverted, yet doing live video with confidence.

My relationship with live video has totally changed. While I still sometimes get nerves, it’s not the defining experience for me. Instead, I find Facebook Lives fun (most of the time 😊). I even do a weekly Facebook Live on my business page that has great following!

I want to help you get comfortable with Facebook Live, too. To know that this is a marketing technique that you CAN use, even if it scares the pants off you right now.

So, what happens during Camera-Shy to Facebook-Live?
