This is excellent. My husband is not a reader and he worked construction for 20 years. Noise doesn’t bother him. He definitely needs less silence than I do. The tv is always on at blasting level. Same with the radio in the car.
I’m on the phone all day at work. I devour books. I love silence in the car, silence in the house first thing in the morning and right after work.
We moved to a new house recently and finally got the yard fenced in. We can now sit outside in the evenings with our dog and cats. I have the quiet. He has the antics of our fur babies. We have pleasant conversations. This has become our happy medium at the end of the day.
